Too many people work hard, sometimes multiple jobs, and still aren't able to afford health care. Kelly believes that no one should go into debt for going to the doctor.
We have the responsibility to make sure that every Wisconsinite has access to safe and affordable health care. It is not a privilege, it’s a right. That’s why Kelly supports taking the federal incentive to both expand Badgercare and codifying reproductive rights in Wisconsin.
Over 91,000 Wisconsinites still lack affordable access to health care because Republicans in Madison won’t even consider a $1.6 billion-dollar federal investment in our state. Meanwhile, 38 other states have already taken advantage of this federal incentive. Our federal taxes help pay for this program, but Wisconsinites don’t reap the benefits.
Kelly will also fight to strengthen every person’s right to access reproductive care, family planning services, and behavioral and mental health care.
Good health and the peace of mind that comes with access to care are foundational to building a secure economic future for every family.
